The Exploits of the Working Class in the 19th Century
In the 19th century, the idea that the working class was considered inferior to the bourgeoisie did not reflect the real situation. Not only did the upper middle class and the rich need the lower classes to support them they exploited their financial status by keeping the working-class poor and oppressed. The bourgeoisie continued to do this to be able to have cheap labor and maximize their profits. In the 19th century, the rich and the bourgeoisie treated the working class and poor as a nuisance to society. They blamed the working class for their circumstances.
